What is claims management?

Professional claims management, also known as debtor management, covers all processes related to the administration, monitoring and collection of outstanding payments. It is not only about recovering overdue invoices but also about proactively ensuring timely payments to safeguard liquidity.

By outsourcing your claims management you benefit from specialized processes and experienced experts who handle the entire workflow efficiently and with a customer-oriented approach - without tying up your internal resources.

Our external claims management includes:

  • Monitoring of incoming payments
  • Credit score checks
  • Reactive reminders and dunning procedures

By outsourcing claims management, we ensure structured payment monitoring and targeted dunning so that invoices are settled on time and outstanding accounts are consistently followed up upon.

1. Blocking management & reconnection

To secure energy supply, we initiate the reconnection of blocked electricity and gas services. At the same time, we cancel planned disconnections due to payment backlogs. In consultation with the client, we also verify whether a pending disconnection can still be prevented.

2. Payment arrangements & deferrals

To avoid disconnections, we offer and send agreements such as payment or installment plans. We also set up or cancel these plans if no payments occur. In addition, deferrals and dunning blocks are applied for open claims.

3. Phone collections & customer tracing

We trace outstanding debts and related customer accounts. The customer is then contacted by phone, or if unavailable, by e-mail.

4. Account clarification & postings

We resolve account discrepancies, correct overpayments through offsetting or refunds and adjust incorrect transfers. Customers also receive advice on reminders and information about outstanding balances.

5. Document management & communication

Invoice copies and account statements are sent via e-mail. We also prepare detailed listings of open items that can be provided to third parties, such as job centers, on request.
